Central System

The SmartBike public bike service has everything to do with communication. Information is constantly exchanged between the bikes, the stations, the maintenance team, the redistribution team, the call centre and of course the user. All of these information flows are managed by a central system.

The central system is a real time system that is constantly online with the SmartBike stations through GPRS and operates all functionalities, from payment to redistribution issues. It provides the call-centre with the relevant and necessary information to be able to extend support in the most efficient and effective way to the users as well as to the SmartBike service teams.

Reports and Statistics

As a centre of information, the central system generates real time reports and statistics about the bike movements that are both helpful and necessary for SmartBike to constantly improve its service and adapt to the user- and the city needs. The reports are also very valuable to municipalities for understanding the developments of their citizen movements.
